Sweet Potato Herb & Spice Fries

Sweet Potato

This recipe is a great go-to recipe if you love sweet potatoes as much as I do! It’s simple, with only 3 ingredients and 3 herbs and spices. One sweet potato makes enough fries for 2-3 people, depending on the actual size. See the recipe at the bottom of the page.
Sweet Potatoes are packed full of nutrition. This includes vitamin A & C, B vitamins and Potassium. So, it’s not the potato we are afraid of at the dinner table. It’s the way the potato is prepared… aka… smothering it with syrup, honey and brown sugar. Is it all necessary? Taste a sweet potato and find out – it is naturally sweet. Choose to add spices and herbs rather than sugar.

Above are all of the ingredients, except for the olive oil and honey (which are optional). Of course, the nuts are optional as well if you do not want to get that desirable crunch.
Peel the potato. You can actually eat the skin if you’d like. More fiber for everyone!
Lay and spread out the sweet potato fries on a sheet of aluminum foil (attached to a baking sheet). This is where you would add the honey and olive oil, as desired. Also time to load them up with herbs and spices 🙂
Cook and Enjoy! Top the fries with a variety of crushed nuts. Here’s another fun recipe including chopped nuts Almond Oatmeal Drops – No Bake.
